‘All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us’ J.R.R. Tolkien

Hello folks and welcome to my blog. My name is Alex or Al, whichever you prefer – I live in the beautiful New Forest in the South of England surrounded by miles of nature and wildlife away from the hustle and bustle of cities and towns.

I am a Boat Builder for Sunseeker International, well technically interior fit out but it doesnt have the same ring as a Boat Builder. I am a very hands on person and love to have a project on the go, no matter if it takes me 6 months to actually get round to completing it! But hey, Rome wasnt built in a day!

I am a very inquistive, sentimental and creative person. I love items with a past and a story behind them. I am a collector of checkered shirts, anything wooden, tools and dogs! In a house with 5 dogs, my two are obviously the best! They are both Yellow Labradors from the same litter and super CUTE!!

The biggest part of my life is my beautiful girlfriend and best friend Samantha. I have been testing her patience since the 2011. It’s because of Samantha and her blog (www.samoxborrow.com) that I have decided to create my own space on the internet.

Things that you would expect to see on my blog will include anything from projects and DIYs to days out, adventures and anything that I am passionate about (manly stuff of course!).

So, thats a brief insight into myself, I hope you stick around and follow me on my journey – until next time, folks!
